• It keep the temp if you put 75 and ur house get colder due to weather or anything it heats up and if it’s the other way around it will cool ur house

• Hi Features, the pre-heat/cool feature on the Amazon Smart Thermostat allows you to begin heating or cooling before the scheduled time. e.g., if you have heating set to 70 degrees at 6:00PM, pre-heat will start five minutes to 6:00PM to warm up. I hope this answers your question.
