Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 5800X3D is the greatest CPU on the AM4 platform. Hands down the endgame CPU for any and all AM4 users. What you use the computer for should determine which CPU you get, if you are a gamer, the 5800X3D is your CPU.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are just wanting better FPS in gaming the 5800x3d wins every time. the 3d v cache out performs the 5900x in gaming scenarios.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.5800X3D is the best gaming cpu in the AM4 platform. The 5900X’s only advantage is in productivity tasks that need the extra cores. 5800X3D will be the better option to extend the life of your gaming build due to the 3D V-Cache technology.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I love My5800X3D it's more then enough. I'm using a 4070 with mine and game at 250+FPS easy on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the 5800x3d is better for regular and VR gaming because it has 96 MB of cache compared to the 5900x which only has 64 MB but in the long run it’s up to you what you’re going to be doing if it’s mainly for gaming 5800x3d can easily run games between 100 Hz to 144 Hz at 1440 P with a Rison 6700 XT but if your computer is also a workstation the 5900x does perform better at things such as video and photo editing, since it has more cores and threads.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I upgraded from my 3700x and I mainly play mmos and in 1440p, from everyone of my friends they highly recommended the 5800x3D as like the final top tier CPU for AM4. Personally I saw a pretty significant FPS increase and no frame skips. I have never tried the 5900x but from my personal experience, upgrading to this was a fantastic choice and I am personally very happy with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want to game 5800x3d is the best you can do 5900x is better for doing work on your computer like compiling or rendering
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A little confused here, but I'll just relay some general information to clear up and confusion or misinformation. If you're current build has a 5000 series CPU of any size, than your already AM4. And that would mean AM5 (7000 series CPUs) would be the upgrade you've mentioned. AM5 7000 CPUs utilize socket (LGA 1718), also reffered to as "ZEN4 architecture." **not to be confused with am4** With that out the way, and focusing back on what I believe your concern arises. It's simply the Ryzen 7 5800x3d 5000 series AM4 CPU. (My answer is tailored to you as an individual, and would change accordingly.)
