“Just Installed this yesterday and it’s running a bit hot nothing crazy but I’m wondering if the cpu itself had any plastic film on it I can’t recall when I was installing mine and I’m worried if that’s what May be causing it, any help.”

• Yeah, this CPU you just put in runs hotter, for sure. When I swapped from the Ryzen 5 3600, it went up like 10 to 15 degrees. So, I got an AIO cooler, and now the temps are good.

• The CPU should not have any plastic film. Double check your cooler though and make sure you didn't drop on your thermal paste with a bad amount.
