You must have an AM4 Motherboard PCIE4/5 other than that you'll be fine. I'm using the Asus Prime X570 Pro but there are many compatible MoBo's out there. I'm using it with a RTX3080 that I could only get through a Pre Built from CyberpowerPC, I do not recommend doing this as they want 10 weeks to repair / replace my 8 month old Failed Ryzen 9 5900x. I purchased another R9 5900x myself and had it replaced.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most motherboards that work with a 5800x will also work woth a 5900x. You should check with the manufacturer HP though to be sure, some companies lock their setup to only use the cpu model it came with (looking at you Dell...)
