• That is a very good question. I would say the CM1000 from Netgear. But any DOCSIS gigabit modem would work, although many come with a router built in and you may want to disable it, the CM1000 doesn't have a router built in.

• I would check what brand the modem is first. I have spectrum service, but my modem is Motorola and it works great. I think you can check hardware compatibility on the manufacturer's website.
