The A87E1 adapter (Nano USB C to HDMI Cable Adapter) is not designed for connecting a BD drive with a male USB-A plug to a laptop's HDMI input. The adapter is meant for converting signals from a USB-C port to an HDMI output for external displays, not for handling data transfer between a USB device and HDMI. Unfortunately, even using additional adapters like a "female-USB-C to female-USB-A" won't enable this setup to work, as HDMI inputs are not intended to process data from USB sources such as BD drives. A better solution would involve connecting the BD drive directly to your laptop via an appropriate USB port for data transfer.
