Will the phone charge with an otterbox case? null

An Otterbox phone protector is thick by design. My phone has a thinner case and charges with no problem as long as the thin metal mag plate for my car mount stays low on the back. Otterbox may interfere with the Qi charging signal depending on which Otterbox model you own. My wife’s phone has a thicker (non-Otterbox) case and must be placed precisely on the charger for the Qi charge to work. I’ve read mixed results from Otterbox case owners. The convenience of wireless charging might mean going to a thinner case depending on your needs.
