It depends on the Year and Make of your car, some manufacturers will have a power cut off for accessories that will not allow you to use accessories such as cigarette lighters while the car is off. If your car does not have the accessories power shut off feature then leaving things plugged into your car's cigarette lighter will eventually drain your battery. This charger by itself should not drain your battery, but if you are using all the USB ports while the car is off it runs a much higher chance of draining the battery.
