• Yes, but only in port 2 which is the bottom one. The top port is for charging only. The usb drive has to be formatted in one of the following formats: FAT, FAT32, or exFAT. The following are playable media file types: .mp3, .wma, .flac, and .wav The Bluetooth version is 4.2 and works flawlessly with my new iPhone XS Max.

• I have not tried it, but according to the manual, the lower USB port will play certain music formats from a thumb drive.
