I have an andriod phone. However, I believe the concept is the same for an iPhone. Any audio media that you can play and listen to on your phone can be streamed to this smartcharger via Bluetooth and then the charger rebroadcasts it on an FM signal frequency of your choosing (there's a charger App you need to put on your phone for selecting a frequency). Your car radio can then play that audio as it is tuned to your chosen frequency. Typically, you choose an FM frequency that isn't being used by any local stations to avoid interferences.
