• Yes you can use only one at a time to increase the listening time duration.

• Yes, you can listen to the right ear bud (the master?), but you can not just listen to the left earbud.

• From my experience, the right earbud is the dominant one. You can use just the right or both. I tried to use just left and it wouldn't connect.
