It pairs automatically with the first available device or Bluetooth receiver and keeps those settings, (Beeps in your headphones once connected) until you do another pairing sequence for subsequent devices. I use it paired with my Samsung earbuds to listen to records while connected to a sound module taking a feed from a pair of turntables and my laptop. I get such great range all around the house and yard. Just gotta go to the basement once in a while to flip the record to side B or change the record..Haha. It has allowed me to dust off and listen to my meager vinyl collection, especially being stuck in the house during this pandemic. Not ideal for music recording when connected to headphones though, since there is a bit of a delay with bluetooth, trying to synch your playing with the transmitter to headphones output is impossible, but awesome for listening and turning old devices, without the capability, into bluetooth transmitters!!!! Definitely 4 out of 5 Exclamation Points
