I’ve been using mine with no App loaded on my phone at all. Works fine and doesn’t have the glitches people with the app complain about. I don’t plan on loading the App anytime soon.

Yes, you can manually operate it using the controls on the top of the stick. You can set the temperature and cook time. You can also adjust this at anytime - change the temperature or adjust the time remaining.

You can, but I’ve never done it. Once I hooked it to my wifi and downloaded the app it’s super simple to use so I never bothered to read the manual how to turn it on manually. Just plug it in and wait for it to link to the wifi and voila!
