I can get 13 channels. I bought a Roku smart tv and it works great with this antenna

It will work on non-smart tvs. Your tv needs a digital tv turner. If you have an old tv (10y+) you may need to get a digital to analog converter box. Check your tv owner's manual to determine if you have a digital tv turner or analog.

Which local channels you are able to receive are determined by such factors as how far away you are from the transmitting antenna and what kind of obstructions there are between your home and the antenna. This antenna will work with any TV that has a coaxial TV input.
