Take the flat mounting plate to your local hardware store and purchase a couple of U-clamps that would span across either set of holes (round or squate, top or bottom) that will fit the diameter of the pole. Preferably galvanized or stainless to reduce rust. Get 4 washers to go between the plate and the U-clamp nuts. (Replace the hex nuts with wing nuts if desired.) Assemble all the OEM provided mounting hardware to the Antenna, then use the U-clamps to attach and hold the flat plate to the pole. Horizontal or vertical, which ever is appropriate. Consider including a small piece of rubber between the plate and the pole to help prevent rotational wind slippage. PS - My antenna worked great on my Smart TV as an alternative input source of local channel transmissions when the SAT signal is lost or inhibited. Good luck.
