Only broadcast "over the airwaves" channels. Remember to also buy coax cable to attach the antenna to the tv. Coax cable ia not included.

The answer depends on your location and how high you install your antennal. There's a great website that will give you a good estimate about what channels you will receive with a new HD antenna: https://www.antennaweb.org/. For our location and installation (inside our attic so >30' above ground) the website predicted up to 104 channels; we actually receive 85 channels, many of which we will never watch. The antenna comes with a smartphone app (iOS or Android) that helps you point the antenna in the best direction: https://www.antennasdirect.com/blog/antenna-point-app-everyone/
