QuestionI have a 1 1/4” mast. Will this antenna mount directly to my mast?

- Answer Assuming you have enough clearance around the mast, it should. The pole clamp looks like it should easily accommodate a mast up to 1.5 inches and probably considerably larger as the adjustment U screw is almost four inches long.

- Answer Yes, it will work. We do recommend placing the antenna up as high as you can in the window to receive the best signal reception. Also, check the direction of the towers from your location. - Answer You will also need a signal booster. Best Buy has one that will work. It cost about $70. We did that and we have never had a problem.

- Answer I wouldn’t think so unless you’re in a really flat area. My understanding is most antenna are going to max out around 100 miles due to the curvature of the earth. I like it and you can see if it works for you with a booster unless you want some monster size antenna.

QuestionHow high off the ground does this antenna need to be. We hope to use our existing directv pole and lines - the dish is maybe 4 feet off the ground....is that good or does it have to be higher?

- Answer I tried it at about 10 feet off the ground but the signal was best at about 5 feet. Odd, I thought higher was better but not for.my.location... yours may be different.

- Answer Yes, comes with a “J” pole and bracket. Also has adjustable clamp on antenna that will fit on up to about one and a half inch pole (diameter)

QuestionWe purchased this antenna and are still going to be using cable for a few more months. We have cable to 5 TVs and want to use both the antenna and cable but don't know how to hook them both up to go to all 5 TVs! Is there something else we need to buy ?

- Answer To keep your cable provider and use an antenna, you would need to run separate coaxial cables. More than likely the cable provider issued you a cable box and that box has the coaxial cable for cable TV. You can run a separate coaxial cable from the antenna to all your TVs concurrently and then connect the coaxial cable for the antenna directly to your TV coaxial connector. - Answer All antennas have a max range of 50-60 miles, regardless of what the box claims. It has to do with digital signals being line of sight and the curvature of the earth. The higher you get the antenna the better it will work. Don't believe any claims of an antenna working 75-100 miles away.

- Answer You have to attach a separate coax cable, which is not included, to connect from the antenna to the tv. The one shown in the picture is not what is used to connect to the tv.

- Answer The ClearStream 4MAX has a short coaxial cable pigtail, which is what I believe you are referring too. When installing the antenna outdoors, you will need to purchase longer coaxial cable that connects to the pigtail connector on the antenna. If your downlead coaxial cable from the antenna to the TV is longer than 100 ft., you may need additional equipment for long cable runs. QuestionWe have 2 digital TV's in adjacent rooms. Our ClearStream 4 MAX usually works well but for past few weeks, certain channels don't have reception on one of the TVs. The other TV has good reception on all channels. Problem is intermittent. Ch 2 and Ch 41.

- Answer I find that each TV or tuner has different sensitivity. Mu living room will be flaky when three other residents are just fine. Length of cable run is certainly a factor too.
