Snow and ice, being of non-metal materials, should not affect the antenna's operation. That said, consider purchasing an amp to help boost the signal - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/winegard-boost-ultralow-noise-tv-antenna-amplifier-white/2938676.p?id=1219083692327&skuId=2938676
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hung my antenna inside my porch. It's small enough to not be too obnoxious and it's completely safe from all the elements. I know Iowa may be farther for your service and you might need to be elevated. But, mine works fine inside. the "figure 8" coils are plastic. So, I would be concerned that it might weaken the plastic (not melt it, but "age" it). Call the manufacturer to be certain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The C4-V-CJM antenna is Strong and Durable. The best way test how well does with snow and ice is to install outside and see what happens.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you could try mounting it in your attic that is where mine is safely away from the elements I do know how long it will hold up exposed to the elements but probably no worse then others antennas
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I strongly recommend that you do not install your antenna outside. It really needs to be indoors or even better- in your attic. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is an indoor antenna so I don't know how ice or snow would even be a problem.
