“What would I need behind my television to replace the Direct TV box. My Vizio only has the colored plug in jacks and my wall plug is the coax type that screws on. I need to connect to the tv somehow?”

Some Vizio "Tv's don't have a tuner to get channels off the air. If you don't have the screw in Jack on your tv, it sounds like you have one of those. If so, you would have to buy a tuner box.

Please try again later.If your Vizio TV does not have the coaxial port, then you would need an external ATSC tuner or a digital converter box that has the correct ouputs to match up with your Vizio TV. If you connect the coax cable from the antenna to the external tuner, then connect the external tuner to your Vizio TV, you should then be able to access the external tuner's setup procedure.
