Steel siding could create interference with the reception. As long as there isn't steel between the roof and inside of the house you should be able to find a location to mount and get reception.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the steel siding is directly in the line-of-sight to the TV transmission tower then yes, it will likely significantly affect your reception. It is like the metal enclosure for your computer where it is used to contain EMI (electro-magnetic radiation).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe that the steel will affect the reception. I know my daughter has one indoors and she had to open her steel door for it to receive a signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should. If you are above the siding, which in effect would cause shielding, then you should be okay. IN the attic you should be above the side, so the metal would not diminish the signal being received. If your siding does come up beyond where you would mount it in the roof and only test would tell how badly it affected it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work. I tried inside my home that also has steel frame with no problem. Regards.
