Hello! Thank you for your recent inquiry on BE750G! Yes, you can use this unit without the use of computer software, but you may lose some configuration features. Also, this UPS has not been tested for use with CPAP or other medical devices, however, depending on how much power your CPAP machine draws, you could get anywhere from 10-45 mins with this UPS. For example, a typical 200W would receive 15 mins on this machine. If you would like to get a longer runtime during a power outage, you may be better off with a larger unit like the BR1500G, which can also add an external battery pack (BR24BPG) to extend it further (using previous example, 200W = 110 mins, almost 2 hours).

The software is only for shutting down an attached computer in an organized fashion in the case of an outage of the utility's power. Your CPAP will work just fine if plugged into this unit. Depending on the current draw of your CPAP machine (which I doubt is much), you should be able to get a significant amount of run-time with this UPS during an outage as well. Of course, you'll be listening to the beep of the alarm on the UPS (which is temporarily defeated by pressing a button.) Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this product without the software and it works fine. The software provides some monitoring functionality and can gracefully shut down a computer when the backup battery is running low, but the software is not needed for the unit to provide power. Before relying on for the CPAP, please make sure that the battery can provide the current necessary to power your machine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this unit will switch to outputting battery supplied power in a fraction of a second if the AC power into it is interrupted. The USB connection to the computer is only to provide a way to communicate with an App that shows a history of 120 volt AC power interruptions and how the UPS responded to the event. It's nice to have that information but it's not necessary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It will not work for a CPAP. I will not last long enough. You will need to get a marine battery and a high power recharger. I got mine at Sears - a Die Hard Platinum with the Die Hard charger. It will last well over 8 hours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm fairly certain it would work. I use one for my entertainment center with no problem.
