Does this need to be charged prior to using it? null

Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes we do recommend our BackUPS are charged for 24 hours before using them.

Yes you do need to charge the unit prior to use. I plugged my new 650VA UPS and turned it on and the alarm started beeping and would not stop. After shutting it off, I left it plugged in for 12 hours then restarted with no alarms and it functions fine.
