• Hi Anon, The unit will beep at you at regular intervals to alert you the battery needs to be replaced. There’s also monitoring software that you can utilize that will show you the status of the device as well. I just bought this model because my old one died. The reason I knew it needed to be replaced was because I replaced the battery and it still wouldn’t power back on. That’s how you’ll know. I hope this helps.
