“On my unit three of the backup/surge outlets have the third prong opening blocked not allowing a three-prong plug to go in. Is this a defect or is it supposed to be that way? There is a slight opening in the middle, but not enough for a plug. Thank you”

• Good morning Cool Mom, Cool name! I had the same issue with the APC, push it down hard and it will go in and over time it gets easier to plug in. I hoe this helps.

• The receptacle will take the extra prong, you just have to push harder.
