• Yes. There are various options for providing protection during thunderstorms etc, and an UPS is the best choice since it provides the most protection: - brownouts - power sags - power spikes - power outages (up to 30 minutes)

• Yes it should with in the restraints of any backup to protect you. What it definitely protects you from is the power fluctuations that over time will cause damage. Of course a direct hit all bets are off : )

• It should protect against surges, sometimes surges get past the best of these types of devices. The amount of time the unit will deliver power depends upon how many and what type of items are connected and drawing power.

• Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the BN650M1 will provide full surge protection and battery protection for any equipment connected to the battery protected outlets. The surge only outlets do not offer battery protection and should be used for non critical peripheral items.
