Will his work on a 1/2 hp sump pump? null

This unit cannot supply enough power for the average 1/2 HP motor but it is close. Even if it did work the battery would not last very long when the motor was running.

Thank you for your interest in our products. It would work with the BN1500M2 however you would need to make sure that the unit isn't installed in a damp area because it can cause damage to the UPS. At 1/2 HP that would put it around 372 watts of power draw. The runtime would be around 15 minutes.
