• the screen size is measured on the diagonal not counting the bezel--- or a squared + b squared = c squared

• The screen size of 10.2 inches is measured diagonally as is customary for tablets, phones, televisions, etc... 9.8" is the height of the device and 6.8" is the width so obviously if you measure diagonally the distance is longer.
