Hi Memaw, the difference with the 4th generation iPad vs the 8th Generation iPad which is the current model right now is that for one, the screens are surprisingly a lot bigger on the ipad 8th gen vs the iPad 4th generation. The new iPad screen ratio is 10.2 inch compared to the 4th gen which is 9.7 inches. Another thing is that the chargers are different with the new one consisting of a more of a faster charger than the iPad 4th gen. Another difference is that the new one is much faster and runs the latest software compared to the outdate software for the iPad 4th generation. Another benefit of the iPad 8th gen is the fact that you can use the Apple Pencil 1 and the Apple Keyboard that you can buy as well as having many other supporting accessories with the new one compared the old one. You can also connect a xbox controller or a ps5/4 controller to it to play games as well! You can also connect it to a iMac or MacBook as a second display if you have any Apple computers out there. There are various other differences out there that but these are the main difference that are important for a daily user. I hope this helps and hope that solves your question! ;)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The main difference is the processing chip and iOS upgrade. The 4th gen can no longer be upgraded or supported by apple.
