To be of much use, your iPad must connect to the internet. The iPad designated as “WIFI” connects wirelessly to your WIFI network. The model with cellular feature has a radio much like the one in your cell phone to connect to the internet, just as your smart phone does, through the cellular network you must have. You either add it to your existing cellular plan or create a new cell account with AT&T, Verizon, or whomever. Cellular feature costs $130 more and you may have to increase your data plan if you use it heavily. I have the feature called “Hotspot” on my cell phone that allows my WiFi iPad to connect to my iPhone and to the internet. That would probably;y save you money over purchasing iPad with cellular capability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cellular models allow you to connect to the internet like a mobile phone, so you have internet available with you subscription. Wi-Fi only works when there is a WiFi network available for you to connect to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wifi means you can only access the Internet when the device is connected to a WiFi network. WiFi/cellular means you can connect to the internet via WiFi or add a cellular account to the device (like you have on your cell phone) and use the internet anywhere you have cell service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.wifi is strictly you can use this product when connected to wifi (such as searching on the internet) but if you have anything downloaded you will be fine, wifi&cellular means you can use it with wifi but also when you’re not connected to wifi your cellular data will be used usually you connect it and set it up(pay) with your cell phone company but there’s other options. I hope this helped.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wifi gets its internet connection by attaching to any wifi network that you have access to. The wifi cellular can either connect to any wifi you have access to, or you can purchase a plan through your cellular phone provider to add data to the ipad allowing you to use it anywhere that cellular data is available. The data plans I have seen are about $10 per month for this service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The WiFi works only on the internet when you are connected to WiFi or you can only use apps that have been downloaded when on the go (unless you have mobile hot spot on a phone and want to get fancy). The cellular you will need to actually add to your phone plan and pay for. But then you will be able to use it like you would a phone and travel and pretty much get internet anywhere. You would pay for it like an additional phone. You can check with your phone company as to how much adding a iPad would be to your current plan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does the iPad need to have an IMEI serial number to add a data plan?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every iPad can connect to the internet through a Wi-Fi network, like the wireless internet router in your home or the wireless hotspots you find in a coffee shop, school library, or airport. If you’re someplace where there is no Wi-Fi, iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular models let you stay connected to fast cellular data networks practically anywhere you go. Check with your carrier for compatibility and plan availability.
