• The pencil is a nice accessory, bit you don’t need it to do anything on the iPad it just makes some tasks easier.

• You can use the pencil anytime but mostly just to draw. It has a nice touch screen like all the iPads but I have not put my tempered glass screen protector on and it seems very sensitive. The pencil I am sure will work much better than a finger to draw but that is all you should need it for.
