• That is correct. There is no way to add a memory card to an iPad.

• Exactly, JoanneS, at least not inside the device enclosure. I do not know about a connection via the USB. Even if it is possible, it will be much slower.

• Apple products do not accept memory cards. You cannot expand the memory on this or any Apple product.
