No. This is only compatible with the 1st Generation Apple Pencil. This is due to the fact that this iPad has a Lightning port and the others have USB-C with a side where the 2nd Generation Apple Pencil attaches magnetically. Since the 1st Generation Apple Pencil connects with the iPad via the Lightning port, these obviously cannot connect with USB-C.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, Im afraid not. I even asked the people at my local apple store but the 2nd gen connects by a magnet and your ipad can NOT be curved like all the younger generations. Here is IPads that the second generation IPencil can connect to: iPad mini (6th generation) iPad Air (4th generation and later) iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later) iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later) However the first generation is still a great apple pencil. It connects using a USB cable. Here is all the IPads the 1st generation can connect to :) iPad mini (5th generation) iPad (6th generation and later) iPad Air (3rd generation) iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation) iPad Pro 10.5-inch iPad Pro 9.7-inch Hope you found this helpful <3
