It all depends on whether your grand daughter has WiFi. If she does then the WiFi only will work any location that has WiFi but nowhere else. If she doesn’t have WiFi access then you’ll have to go wit the cellular one, but that normally means an additional data plan. Good luck.

If your Grandaughter would like to stream movies, surf the web, Facebook etc. you will need wifi or cellular. If you don't have wifi then I would talk to your local AT&T rep.
