• It can be put on an AT&T account without getting another sim card. However I first tried to put it on my Verizon acct and it said I need another sim. So instead I registered it online on my AT&T acct and entered the IMEI, ICCID, and MEID numbers (not sure it asked for all three) from Settings-General-About and it worked/works great.

• It comes with a Apple sim, however you will need to get a Att sim if that’s who you want to be your carrier. I had a iPad with att and just took the sim out and replaced the Apple sim with it and was up and running in no time.
