• No it works like a normal tablet. The pencil is only really good for drawing, taking notes, etc.

• No! This iPad supports the Apple Pencil but by no means do you need one to use it!

• no u do not need the pencil to use this ipad. you can use your fingers, or a keyboard with mouse pad or seperate mouse, or use a stylus from another brand
