Yes if you backup to iCloud. There is an option in setup to make it like another device picked from the list of your backups. Did mine in less than 30 minutes and in a month of use I have not found anything missing. Using iCloud storage is (I think) $0.99 a month for the lowest cost option. I back up 3 iPads, 2 iPhones and an iPod using that plan.

They are supposed to transfer automatically if you can turn your old ipad on which i couldnt do because I waited too long to buy a new one. However after several hours my pictures appeared but not the apps so i just reinstalled them.

Yes the new IPad Pro will prompt you to put your older IPad next to it and you can transfer your data to the new one

If you are linked to the Cloud they will just automatically be in your photos.  If they don’t transfer over you just need to go into settings and set this up through the Cloud to transfer over.
