I believe you can download free usermanuals from the iBooks store. There should be an app preloaded on the unit for the bookstore.

You can download it from Support for Ipad on Apple.com.  You do this from your Ipad and it will appear in the folder called Books which is for any ebooks.

There isn't one. But apple does have an FAQ with most questions answered. Youtube is a great place to learn tricks and tips for it.
