• It’s my understanding that the iPhones can support higher wattage power bricks than the standard 5W power brick they include in the package. This is only a 12W unit perfect for charging iPads or devices that require more current. Now you’ll definitely want to fact check this but I’ve been using this charger for many years and never had any issues. It charges my devices faster and a friend of mine who has Android phones picked up the same one because it charges his phone faster than the Samsung “Fast Charger” they included with his phone. • Yes. The 12W adapter is the proper travel adapter for the iPhone. It is also excellent for the iPod Touch, and iPod mini. You don’t want to spend all day charging your device. You want to be out using your device.
