“Does this work with iPhone 8 and iPad Pro? And will it work with the ports in my car? My shorter Apple cords only work for a while in car, then stop charging. I have read up and the consensus seems to be that the cord is not strong enough for iPad Pro.”

My iPad Pro came with a 3 foot Apple lightning charging cable, and just recently raveled right where the cable joins the lightning charger. That cable worked fine for my iPad Pro and IPhone 6+, and this new one works also. It also works well in my 2012 GMC Terrain. I actually carried my old lightning charger and raveled cable to Best Buy, and this is the cable they recommended. I see off brands in discount stores regularly that are much cheaper, but I prefer to use Apple products on my Apple Electronics to protect them. Hope this is helpful.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does work with the iPhone 8 but I am not sure about the iPad. The port in your car would need to be a USB port but I would not recommend using the wireless charger because if you turn your phone may slide off.
