• In reference to the 7th gen iPad, it’s a processor difference, the mini actually sports a faster more advanced processor than the 7th gen iPad.

• the base model 10.2 ipad has an older processor, older interior components and a less quality looking display which means its cheaper. the ipad mini has a new processor, sharper screen and newer internals.

• The mini has a better screen and faster chipset than the regular iPad. Its a smaller version of the iPad Air.
