“Does this model also include the OS that allows for a USB file storage and transfer? I’m considering this as a gift - just bought the larger IPad for myself and this is a great feature. My friend is vision impaired and I’m debating on GB size.”

I just bought this don't see anything with extra storage but have over 3weeks of music on it taking a little over 35 gigs. This thing has tons of room if you get the 256

I have never tried using a USB yet but I did with my older iPad mini and was able to do that with a lightning connector without problem. The iPad does not have a USB port but has a lightning port and they make USB storage devices with the lightning connector built in. Good luck.

The clarity of this new mini is incredible. Read all my books and magazines on it. This is my third mini and I keep going back to it because of the size.
