The Airpods come with the new version of the charging case that can be used with a charging pad. The charging pad is NOT included in the purchase but Airpods come with OEM wall charger and USB cord.
No charging pad included but you can get them cheap and as giveaways at trade shows

You need to select the 2nd Gen AirPods with the Charging Case. They also sell the 2nd Gen with standard case. The charging pad is separate.
