• Apple’s website says the wireless charging case works with all AirPod generations. As for the new AirPods working with the non-wireless case, it’s likely it will work as the big difference is one case has Qi charging capability and the other doesn’t. Both my kids, have AirPods. One old version, one new. We’ll experiment and follow up.

• Yes. I have the older version and wife just got her new ones with the wireless charging case. They work just fine. You can buy just the wireless charging case for $80.
