It should work fine, as long as you’re in an area where there’s a lot of cell phones around since it relies on Bluetooth, where range is like 30-60 ft (if someone passes within that distance, the location will be automatically updated from their cell phone). You can put it into lost mode, and that’ll allow someone to tap it with their NFC-equipped cell phone to see your phone number in their browser. If you need more granular location-tracking (or live in a rural area where’s not a lot of cell phones around), consider a GPS pet tracker.
