• These are the EXACT same as the ones in the iPhone box. They are made by Apple. Hence there somewhat exorbitant price.

• These are the same ones my husband's iphone came with. His old iPhones used to come with just simple headphones (without volume control). His newest iPhone came with this same set and has a volume up and down/song change option. My son loves them for his iPod music listening. It's nice to just adjust what you need to without having to fumble with the iPod/iPhone to adjust volume or whatever. Hope this helps.
