On 08/26/24, I purchased a "Certified Refurbished iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB (carrier unlocked/unrestricted) from the bestbuy website, and I can tell you that the product I received today does NOT have a new (replacement) battery. The current battery capacity is right at 80%. So, NO, the battery was not replaced before it was shipped out to me. I guess we as the bestbuy customer are on our own to replace the battery (or I imagine signing up for a geek-squad membership or warranty plan to help cover the device. I also entered the serial # into the apple website warranty coverage page, and this device does NOT have any remaining warranty on it. Hope this post helps anyone out there looking into Refurbished iPhones from bestbuy. Buena suerte everyone.
