• It really depends on your plan. We have Sprint and pay $30/mo for unlimited data for the iPad. The $23/mo you mentioned is just for the cost of the iPad. You can always just pay for the iPad upfront, then you only have the cellular data to pay for.

• I believe if you only own the IPAD. But I would stay away from Sprint if you can. Horrible coverage/service.
