Don't just think about your needs today - what will you need a few years from now too, or for as long as you own this. Video takes up a lot of space. though if you store everything in the cloud, storage isn't as big of a deal. Just for reference, my iPhone is 32GB, and I have email, apps, photos (not many) and about 1200 songs, and it's almost full. Add a few movies for watching on the airplane, and I'd be out of space.

It’s always better to have too much storage then to not have as much and then run out.
