• Cellular service is optional and can be activated later. Please check your carrier for compatibility and plan availability.

• Nick, Yes you do not need to hook the cellular up. I have an air with cellular and have never hooked it up. It is far cheaper to buy the WiFi option, but if you need the cellular sooner or later it is better to bite the bullet now.
