“I have a iPad on account already.Trying to upgrade to bigger iPad.Having problems finding someone who can answer question and get it done.Want 10.5 or 12.9 with same optons as this.Thought they could just change sim card.”

You don't have an iPad account, you have an apple account. If you have iCloud turned on right now on your old device, when you sign into the new one you will be able to pull your items down from the cloud. The SIM card for iPads really just manage the data plan and house the phone number. You need a phone number on your device in order to have it on cellular.

I believe the sim card is built in but you can contact apple. They answered a lot of my questions.

I have the unlimited data use with my iPad (grandfathered in from original iPad). I have upgraded several times and just called AT&T and they've transferred the account to the new iPad. I hope this answers your questions. My Best Buy store often has an Apple representative in the store.
